Serendip Artist is a Star!!

Amy Gaspard's intricate beaded flowers, trees, and accessories are featured at The Market at Serendip. Amy was recently notified that she was a Finalist in Fire Mountain Gems' 2009 Crystallized (TM) Swarovski Elements Contest.

Amy's entry, a glimmering wire-and-crystal cherry tree, is fashioned from pink and crystal Swarovskis and various colored seed beads, and brown-colored copper wire, attached to a moss-covered stone base.

The Market at Serendip is proud to be associated with this fine artist! Congratulations, Amy!

CHASE AWAY WINTER BREAK BOREDOM!

How long after Christmas will it be till the kids start saying "WE'RE BORED"?? Well, Serendip has a plan to help prevent that.

We'll be offering three children's classes for the week after Christmas.

Monday, December 28, Kids Kandlemaking. From 11:oo a.m. to noon, Angela Buckley will teach kids from ages 4-14 a safe and easy way to make rolled beeswax candles, and the kids will take their creations home! Cost is $12 per participant, and all materials will be provided.

Tuesday, December 29, frm 1:30-3:00, is Laura Neal's Kids Can Bead Class. Children aged 8 and up will learn to make a memory wire bracelet and an optional memory wire necklace. Cost is $12 for each child, or $20 each if they want to make a necklace, also. Laura will provide all the materials, but if the student has a special charm or bead to use, they should bring it along.

On Wednesday, December 30, from 2:00-3:30: Teresa Morbitzer's Winter Wonderland Watercolor class will teach children aged 6-12 masking and wash techniques. Students will take home their painting of a forest of birch trees. Class costs $25 dolloars, plus a $5 supply fee.

All three of these classes require pre-registration, so be sure to call or email to hold a place for your young artists!!
