UPCOMING CLASSES AT SERENDIP!!

Classes are being scheduled for fall! Jen Float just sent word that she's scheduling more of her popular Studio Classes!

If you're looking for a fun evening out while creating your own masterpiece, we have the answer!
Come along and meet new friends, or grab some current pals, and join us for an evening of creativity and camaraderie. Bring a favorite bottle of wine or beverage, and paint a picture along with Jen, a local artist with work displayed in Yellow Springs, at Serendip, and other local venues.

We'll provide your paint, canvas and brushes, and you'll have a fun evening with friends. Plus, at the end of the evening, you'll have a one-of-a-kind creation and, hopefully, a newfound talent you'll want to explore. Each session is only $40.

TWO TERRIFIC NEW ARTISTS!!

We are so excited to welcome two more artists.

First, FiFi Papers has joined us, offering prepackaged cards and notes with alphabet photos spelling out the sentiments. She also takes special orders for personalized cards. These would be an ideal gift for newlyweds or your favorite correspondent, or they would make totally unique holiday cards!

We're also happy to welcome Pam Stockwell's Whimsical Wire. Pam turns plain serving pieces into spectacular works of art. Using wire and enormous creativity, she incorporates vintage beads and elements to add pizzazz to your partyware!!

BIG NEWS FROM SERENDIP!!

NEWS FLASH! In just a few days, Serendip will open the doors at our new location, 30 W. Olentangy Street in Powell!! A little paint, a lot of help, and the careful transfer of beautiful art, and we'll see you there beginning Saturday, Sept. 11!!! Our usual hours and location till then, though...

The new gallery is progressing well. You've loved our old location, and I gurantee you're REALLY going to love our new one-- stop by and see the new space on Saturday!!

New seasons have arrived at Serendip! We're bringing in fall and Halloween decor, including silk florals, pumpkin designs, Kristin Morris's Alice in Wonderland folk dolls, and plenty more to get you ready for the turning leaves and cooling temperatures.

With Buckeye season starting already, you'll need to stop in to collect Laura Neal's buckeye jewelry, or Adda-Ptations scarves and hair accessories. We have Buckeye gifts that are great for the hosts of your next tailgate party, and Susie Lowder has painted her unique visions of autumn buckeye branches.

Don't forget to order your custom silk arrangements from Arlene Cucculelli-- fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are coming fast!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO SERENDIP!!

We had a wonderful celebration for our FIRST ANNIVERSARY IN POWELL last week. Beginning with a party Thursday evening, then Serendipity Day on Saturday, we gave away free gifts and coupons, signed people up for door prizes, and had a chance to visit with some of our valued customers and friends.

This special date creates the perfect opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for all the people who have made our first year so successful: a wonderful, talented group of creative and supportive artists; friends and family who have offered inspiration, advice, and confidence; and wonderful customers, who are the "serendipity" part of Serendip! Our customers are so warm and supportive, that it's very easy to think of them as friends! Thank you, all of you, for everything you've done for Serendip and for me!

ROCCO PISTO'S ONE-MAN SHOW

Saturday, August 7, marked the Artists' Reception for Rocco Pisto's one man show, entitled Organic Vibrations. We had a wonderful turnout of Rocco's friends and followers, and the opportunity to view some of his new works. Organic Vibrations is still on display at the Market at Serendip, along with a varied sampling of Rocco's other works-- please stop by for your chance to see these oustanding watercolors!
